From the moment a new employee walks through the door at Richardson & Starling they are left in no doubt that health and safety is at the heart of everything we do.
To show our commitment to high standards we have achieved accreditation to Quality Standard ISO 9001, Environmental Standard ISO 14001 and Health and Safety Standard ISO 18001.
Comprehensive Health and Safety
As part of our induction programme all new staff and technicians are introduced to our health and safety procedures and given training to ensure that they have the relevant knowledge and experience to ensure every site we work on is safe. Every site or work base is risk assessed before any work commences. As repair and restoration work progresses, site safety is regularly monitored to protect not only our labour force and the safety of sub-contractors but also to ensure that every visitor to the site is protected. The company employ two dedicated Health and Safety Managers to overview and audit our daily performance to give you peace of mind.
Take 5 Initiative
Richardson & Starling are part of the Veitchi Group. Together we share the same attitude towards creating a safe working environment. Our Health & Safety department created a “Take 5” initiative, encouraging our on-site staff to be aware of their working environment and ensure that they follow the risk assessment and method statements for the work procedures. In addition to that, we started our own internal Health & Safety awards where every month we recognise an individual that has demonstrated good health and safety awareness.
